Oahu’s North Shore Horseback Riding
Aptly named, Sunset Beach boasts large areas of white sand, magnetic blue water, and an elongated coastline with stunning views of green palm trees and rocky mountainous landscapes. Such opportunities are rare, but it’s not far out of your reach.
Experience a deep sense of freedom and adventure by riding the finest Polo ponies along the breathtaking shoreline of the North Shore. Whether you are an experienced rider or riding for the first time, our Scenic Horseback Riding Tour will surely give you a unique and enjoyable memory to savor for years to come.
Horse Riding Options
Depending on your exclusive needs and wants, we can tailor a ride to fit your interests. Some of the options that we have available include:
Private Horse Rides
Available for riders of all ages and skill level, the private tours are ideal for anyone that wants a more private and personal ride. There are three time slots available, for your convenience, so you can pick a time of that that suits you best. Escape the day with a solo trail ride or choose a mellow ride on the shoreline and feel your worries melt away.
The Sunshine Ride
In need of a little extra vitamin D? The sunshine ride gives you the chance to experience the North Shore, by horseback, during the day. Soak up the sun while watching the sea turtles feeding among the polo field’s rock. If you are a more skilled rider, ask us about our advanced sunshine ride when booking your tour. Take part in the sunshine ride followed by a cantering and trotting practice on the polo field.
The Sunset Ride
The perfect way to enjoy a Hawaiian sunset is by riding a horse. Whether you want an unforgettable view or to make memories with a romantic evening ride, expect remarkable lighting on this tour during the ‘golden hours’ right before the sun goes down and the moon lights up.
The Polo Ride
The acclaimed ‘sport of the elites’ is accessible to everyone with our tour! Whether you are a proficient horseback rider or you have no riding experience, this will surely be a fun and unique adventure. These are actual working polo ponies. They know what they are doing and they will take good care of you.
Riders must be over the age of 8 and their weight must not exceed 240lbs. If you have a medical condition or another problem, talk to your doctor first and let us know. Children as young as 8 years old can do the ride, so most people can handle a trail ride without a problem.
What to wear?
Wear comfortable clothes. We recommend closed-toed shoes and long pants, but these clothing items are not required. To protect our ponies, we ask that every rider weighs less than 250 pounds. If it seems like you may weigh over 240, we may ask you to get on a scale just to make sure.
